Rants you fucking douchebag, go to hell.

I seriously, seriously hate this guy right now. As somebody who has been sexually harassed and been dismissed as spreading lies and rumors, I officially despise this man. I just...argh.

I'm still following TGWTGSecrets. Not because I take any joy from the secrets, but more from a sort of sadistic pleasure. The sort you get from watching train wrecks. I kind of want to see how much angrier he can make me. I kind of want to see if any more of this floats to the surface. I kind of want to see if his desire to get attention eventually does make his tumblr implode. I kind of want to see if, eventually, people do see him for the cowardly, attention-seeking, hypocritical asshole he is and give up on him.

Fuck I hate Rants.

I'll still like it for the secrets (because there are still some nice/funny/sweet/insightful ones), but he with his ego and hypocrisy and thinking he knows it all and just plain shitheadness makes me so very angry. I get why Lindsay and her friends were annoyed, rumors of anyone being a predator obviously aren't fun, but how dare he act like this. The policewoman when I was sexually abused said I was right in a lot of ways but that the guy was so charming she had to let it go. And my cheating mother accused my (perfect, putting-off-a-hernia-operation-so-he-can-help-me) dad of abusing her and got sympathy from her friends, those are the reasons why I'm raging.

As I said below, the thing that had me so angry was his making it impossible for people to come forward. His complete and utter hypocrisy just left me breathless with rage.

The cutesy *hugs* and emoticons to all the people who send him support messages are what's killing me right now. Gosh almighty, you really had it hard there for 14 hours. Could have just, I don't know, kept on in private conversation with the submitter, or not said publicly that you think they're a troll and invited more public censure and harassment. The very thing that they were trying to avoid in the first place.

And, yeah, tumblr isn't the best place for it, much less a secrets blog, but I can see being panicked and submitting that secret. FFS, she said that she didn't think she could go to CA authorities because she didn't have anything beyond secondhand information. And now I bet you anything unless something comes of it from Holly, no one's going to come forward and try to warn people anymore, it just will keep going from one person to another.

I hate everything about that blog right now.

The thing that makes me headdesk is his shouting at people because he doesn't want the blog to be a "rumor mill". Rants, I distinctly remember when comments told you to knock it off with the "oh Paw and Elisa say they aren't dating but they totally are" shit and you fobbing them with "don't tell me how to do my job". Fucking hypocrite.

Well, I guess he can just pick and choose what's a rumor and what deserves a little more public assessment. Apparently harassment = rumor rumor hssssss and possible dating = serious, deservedly publicized business.

The fact that Ven had been asking him multiple times to publish Holly's contact information, and it wasn't until Holly herself came forward and gave it that Rants published it was what really made me fume. My god the man has an ego on him the size of Jupiter.

And the whole 'thinking they're a troll' thing made me so angry. In a situation like this, with a public figure, you do not say shit like that. Ever.

I don't follow Ven, so I didn't even know that. That wasn't even private contact info! It's a formspring, an e-mail you can find at the website, and a facebook page!

Seriously, fuck that guy. His holier-than-thou attitude pissed me off the moment I first saw that tumblr (not even that long ago). He freaks out over the tiniest things happening, acting like the world is crashing down around him. Ugh. I wanted to follow the tumblr, but I just couldn't. Too much rage.

...what. You're getting upset because a few of the contributors are a little disapproving of the tumblr. Seriously. Come on, dude.

I'm glad he hadn't been part of the fandom in the early days. He would have been eaten alive.

Here's the thing, I love most of the reviewers on the site. I have a great deal of respect for them and all that stuff. However, in the case of fanworks, seriously, let them be upset. They don't need to go on the tumblr if they don't want to and rarely are the producers who get irritated the ones who are even being talked about. They are putting themselves forward in a public setting, there will be rumors. Even if they are untrue, there's really no reason to pitch a fit. And if they are true, well, they should be taken seriously.

I wish he'd either put more effort into screening secrets or not screen them at all. Seriously, I follow fandom!Secrets and if Technophile can post 20-100 secrets a day with relatively few problems (some of which ARE TGWTG related), Rants gets zero sympathy from me.

Exactly. They're allowed to feel the way they feel. If I heard Linkara was annoyed about L:VH, I'd be a bit irked, but, well, it's a tiny corner of the internet. It's not like it's a place of heavy traffic. He can avoid me pretty easily. I know for a fact the forumites think I'm a weirdo, but hey, they don't flame me, I don't flame them.

I think Rants just wants to be accepted and liked by the site members. I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon.

I stopped following it as soon as it became more about him than about the secrets. Comments on secrets, asks...it's all about Rants, and Rants is a douchebag. So not interested.

I hadn't even heard about it at all until the thing about JO, so everything I've seen of it seems pretty shitty. (I'm sure the secrets are great, but I was too ragey to read them >.>)
